- Reel format: Vertical (9:16), 1080×1920 resolution, ≥30fps
- File type: MP4 (H.264 + AAC) or MOV
- Length: 10–60 seconds (ideal 12–20s) (no longer than 3m)
- Length/Narrative: – must meet the “must have” requirements of the project, especially any specifically requested shots or subjects
- Audio: Clean, intelligible, no copyrighted tracks
- Content: Relevant to the stated goals of the project (place, people, culture, food, product, or experiences; Driving specific actions, information, awareness)
- Delivery: On or before the due date. Delivering early will support any minor last-minute edits. Edits must be turned around within 72 hours (but quicker will be appreciated by Businesses!)
- Include every shot in your edited Reel – all original uncut clips that comprise your reel should be provided along with the edited Reel. These can be provided individually or as a “string out”, all uncut but edited together into a single file.
- Provide complete documentation of your work – In the submission form, please provide complete, helpful descriptive information to help the requesting business understand the who, what, why, when, and where of each of your clips and your Reel.
- If edits are requested – Creator will be notified by email. Creator agrees to provide edits within 72 hours of receipt (via email). Clients are entitled to one round of reasonable edits (not major edits). If Creator missed concrete directives included in the project RFP, those edits do not count towards the requesting Business’s one edit round.
⚠️ Payment is only released if these essentials are met.

Supporting Clips & Extra Footage
In addition to the final Reel, creators must deliver all supporting clips. Providing variety of additional clips is strongly encouraged. These clips allow the client to make their own cuts, repurpose footage, and extend the life of each project.
What to Include:
- Every shot in your edited Reel – all original uncut clips that comprise your reel. These can be provided individually or as a “string out”, all uncut but edited together into a single file.
- Establishing shots – landscapes, exteriors, group moments (5–10s)
- Detail shots – close-ups of hands, food, gear, wildlife, etc. (3–5s each)
- Action shots – movement/interaction (walking, casting a line, pouring a drink, etc.)
- People shots – natural expressions, conversations, reactions (not overly staged)
Requirements:
- Must be delivered at the same time as the Reel, correctly labeled and documented
- Same tech specs as final Reel (vertical 9:16, 1080×1920, ≥30fps, .MP4 or .MOV)
- Clips should be clean, stable, and clearly connected to the goals of the requesting business and project outline
Why it Matters:
Supporting clips give Fieldlist and its business partners enough clean footage to:
- Edit alternate versions of your Reel
- Build multiple Reels from one shoot
- Keep content dynamic with varied perspectives (wide → medium → close)
Do’s & Don’ts
Do:
- Shoot extra clips in case the Business has minor edits. This will make it easier for you to meet the requirements of the project and submit a complete deliverable.
- Capture in good light (natural > heavy filters)
- Hook the viewer in the first 1–2 seconds
- Add captions to talking clips
- Deliver a variety of clips: talking, establishing, details, action, people
- Keep footage stable and audio clean
- Be responsive and provide timely, on-time revisions when requested (up to one round of revisions may be requested by the Business, to be delivered prior to the overall deadline of the project)
Don’t:
- Shoot horizontal or square (must be vertical)
- Use copyrighted music (including background bleed from venues/TVs)
- Deliver pixelated, low-res, or muffled content
- Include unsafe, offensive, or irrelevant material. All content must abide by our Creator Terms and Conditions
- Miss deadlines without prior approval
- Only submit one polished Reel without supporting clips or complete information
